Darren Hall is an accomplished Music Editor based in the North of England. His recent work includes Avatar – The Way of Water (4th highest-grossing movie of all time); Brahamastra: Part One – Shiva (The highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022); and Jean-Jacques Annaud’s dramatization of the fire of Notre Dame, Notre Dame on Fire.
Darren started his career working as a recording engineer, working on projects by pop artists such as Toni Braxton, Ed Sheeran, Usher, and The Arctic Monkeys. He also worked with classical artists such as Rolando Villazón, Katherine Jenkins, and The Ten Tenors. During this time, he crafted his skills for editing pop and classical music while developing a wide range of production techniques. Darren also has a deep knowledge of noise reduction and has restored works by artists such as Glenn Miller, The Who, and Ella Fitzgerald.
Darren incorporates all his skills into his music editing. He loves the creative side of editing and will often preserve the original midi/programming in his creations. He can also embellish these creations with his own programming.
Darren can work remotely and can travel internationally at short notice. He currently holds a work visa for the US.
