Amie Doherty

Irish composer Amie Doherty recently made history as the first woman to score a DreamWorks animated feature film with the 2021 summer release “Spirit Untamed,” starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Julianne Moore, & Eiza Gonzalez. Fresh off of scoring Marvel Studios’ latest hit series, “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” starring Tatiana Maslany & Mark Ruffalo, her other recent credits include Sony/Hulu’s Yuletide hit “Happiest Season” starring Kristen Stewart, Dan Levy, Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza; Focus Features’ “The High Note” by director Nisha Ganatra; Amazon’s critically acclaimed series “Undone” starring Bob Odenkirk; the Jurassic World short film “Battle at Big Rock” from director Colin Trevorrow; and “Here and Now” starring Sarah Jessica Parker & Renée Zellweger.

Amie recently became a voting member of the music branch of The Academy. Named by Variety as one of 2022’s ‘10 Artisans To Watch,’ and nominated by the International Film Music Critics Association in 2022 for both ‘Breakthrough Composer of the Year’ and ‘Best Original Score for an Animated Feature’ for “Spirit Untamed,” she has also received nominations from the Society of Composers & Lyricists for ‘Outstanding Original Song for a Comedy or Musical’ for her song “Fearless,” and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for her scores to “Spirit Untamed,” “Marooned,” and “Battle at Big Rock.” As an orchestrator and conductor, her credits include Lady Gaga’s Chromatica album, a recent collaboration with The Dave Matthews Band, performing at Radio City Music Hall with 50 Cent, and series such as “Star Trek: Discovery” & “Picard,” “Fargo,” and “The Umbrella Academy.” Amie is an alumna of the Universal Composers’ Initiative, a Sundance fellow, and holds a Masters in film scoring from Berklee College of Music.
