Composer Andrea Datzman is most well known for her score for Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2, and the lovable short film, Carl’s Date, which premiered in front of Elemental in June of 2023. This short preceded her work on Pixar’s animated Disney+ series, Dug Days, which follows the humorous misadventures of Dug, the beloved dog from Up. She also wrote the music for the Paramount Star Trek short, Ask Not.
Over the years, Datzman’s work has run the gamut from major features (Zooptopia, Spiderman: Homecoming, Let Me In, Cars 2, Speed Racer) to several TV series (Lost, Alcatraz, UnderCovers) and video games (Up, Ratatouille). She also penned the fun ear-worm jingle for Tripledent Gum from Inside Out, which makes it especially exciting for her to return to Riley’s world as the composer on Inside Out 2.
Datzman grew up in Clayton, CA, and attended UC Santa Barbara where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition. She then went on to attend USC where she completed their Scoring Masters Program in the Thornton School of Music.
She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
