Min He is an award-winning media composer based in Los Angeles. She began her musical journey with the piano and accordion at age 5. Min studied music at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing before pursuing the esteemed Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program at the University of Southern California. She weaves rich and eclectic sensibilities from her world travels, combined with traditional orchestral music and tasteful modular electronics to produce music that has been described as “truly beautiful and innovative.”
She has composed scores for a dozen of video games which developed by leading companies including EA Games, Tencent Games, NetEase Games, Paper Games, Veewo Games. Notable titles under her belt include The Sims4 DLC, Neon Abyss, CrossFire Mobile, LifeAfter, In Nightmare, among others. Beyond the gaming realm, Min’s music can be also heard in Emmy Award series How to Get Away with Murder, Oscar-nominated film Better Days, the Netflix Original Series Into the Night, and the animation series The Monsters in the Forbidden City which has amassed a staggering 2 billion views on streaming platforms.
Min is also highly sought-after as an orchestrator and pianist. Her piano performance can be heard on the score for the Oscar-nominated film Better Days, as well as on many of her own projects. She showcased her skills as an orchestrator for Hayao Miyazaki’s Classic Animation Music Concert featuring the music of Joe Hisaishi. This concert journeyed through more than 100 cities in China.
Min is also a celebrated songwriter. Her hit song Chen Hai was recorded by Chinese Superstar Mao Buyi, debuting at number one on the Chinese megasite QQ’s music platform and racking up 20 million streams on the day after it was released.
Min is currently writing score for several upcoming console games include Evotinction (Sony China Hero Project), and Showa American Story (NekCom Games). In 2023 she was nominated for the G.A.N.G award and in 2022 she was nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media Award for her captivating score for In Nightmare. In recognition of her exceptional talent, she was honored with the 2022 ASCAP Foundation David Rose Award.
